Teaching in Rural Schools
This program is aimed at all those who want to have a new experience while contributing to the educational development of children, adolescents, youth and adults. Of course we always want to have professionals in education collaborating with us in all our programs, but if you do not have professional experience as an educator and you possess the other qualities we are looking for, you are still welcome to join our group. At minimum, we ask that you have patience; responsibility; the predisposition to work on a team; and, above all, empathy to work with children, teens, and adults.
If you have a preference or like a specific topic, activity, or age, let us know; all skills are welcome for the pedagogical development of students.
Our programs located in rural areas such as the Andes, the Amazon Rainforest, or the Ecuadorian coast could have difficult access to or shortage of transportation, so a high spirit of commitment to help with the education of the people who need it most it is important, and we value it very much.
Thanks to the great wealth of each region, the food is varied and will depend on the area where you volunteer. Of course, in rural areas there are places where you will not be able to get particular items or types of food, such as in big cities where there are much variety of food, but we are sure that the friendliness of the people will make up for any lack.
Throughout the program you will receive assistance from a coordinator before entering the program and during the development of your volunteer work.
